about
I've been producing since I was very young.

It started with my first pair of ballet shoes. Then came the record player. The rat-tat-tat of timing. The colorful stage lights.
In fifth grade I sat on the side of the bathtub with a mic and tape recorder capturing the the running bath water so I could add ambient sound into my audio track like I’d heard on the radio.
In high school I went out for cheerleading, not because I wanted to stand on the sidelines for the boys, but because I saw my first pep rally and I needed to produce that stage show!
From starting with outlines to tackle any writing assignment I faced, to creating a lineup with a charismatic host, a timely theme, and a lyrical ebb and flow (thank you Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation), I began each project with an exercise in organization.
In the event world, these tools evolved into a production schedule, a run of show and a script.
And in the new biz, that sense of timing and craving to tell stories with sensory context contributed to live broadcasts with fluid parts and last second changes as breaking news unfolded.
Curiosity gave me the opportunity to engage with subject matter experts and ask lots of questions for a far reaching audience.
I developed a keen ear to turn a concise soundbite under deadline and could write interview questions that would elicit the insights viewers needed to develop better understanding.

How That Connects to You
In order for creativity to take flight it needs a strong anchor and the framework to support it.
The balance and tension of structure and creativity is what excites me.
My enthusiasm, focus and deep desire to connect is what will help propel you through your next project.
I’ve worked with Emmy, Peabody, and Pulitzer Prize winning news teams covering local and global news events. I’ve helped rare disease patients and polished litigators alike share their most vulnerable moments on camera. I’ve teamed with highly-skilled production crews to produce global customer sales events with high profile speakers.
